Next, head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you’ll explore the Kasenyi Plains and Ishasha sector, famous for tree-climbing lions. Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN ENTEBBE – TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park, a 5–6 hour drive with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking on foot. Continue to Murchison Falls, check into your budget lodge or tented camp, and relax before dinner.

DAY 2: GAME DRIVE & NILE RIVER BOAT SAFARI

Start the day with a morning game drive, searching for elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes. In the afternoon, take a boat safari on the Nile River, where you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. The boat ride ends near the bottom of Murchison Falls, where you can enjoy the powerful scenery. Return to camp for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3: HIKE TO THE TOP OF MURCHISON FALLS – TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, visit the Top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile River crashes through a 7-meter-wide gorge, creating the world’s most powerful waterfall. Then, depart for Kibale National Park, a 6-hour scenic drive through Western Uganda’s rolling hills and lush countryside. Arrive in the afternoon, check into your budget lodge, and relax.

DAY 4: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING IN KIBALE – BIGODI WETLAND WALK

Wake up early for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest, home to over 1,500 chimps and 12 other primate species. The trek lasts 1–4 hours, and once you find them, you’ll have one hour to observe their behavior up close. After lunch, take a guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, known for its monkeys, birds, and swamp-dwelling wildlife.

DAY 5: TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK – BOAT SAFARI

After breakfast, take a 3-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s second-largest wildlife reserve. Check into your budget lodge and enjoy lunch before heading out for a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, where you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and an array of birdlife.

DAY 6: GAME DRIVE & TRANSFER TO BWINDI

Wake up early for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, home to lions, elephants, buffaloes, and warthogs. Then, transfer to the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions, and enjoy another game drive before heading to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Arrive in the afternoon, check into your budget lodge, and relax before the next day’s gorilla trekking experience.

DAY 7: GORILLA TREKKING IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST

Today is the highlight of your trip—gorilla trekking in Bwindi! After a briefing from park rangers, enter the dense rainforest, following trails to find one of the habituated gorilla families. The trek can take 2–6 hours, depending on their movement. Once found, spend one unforgettable hour observing these majestic primates. After trekking, return to the lodge for relaxation or an optional Batwa pygmy cultural experience.

DAY 8: RETURN TO ENTEBBE – DEPARTURE

After breakfast, embark on a 6–7 hour drive back to Entebbe, stopping for lunch along the way. Arrive in the afternoon for drop-off at the airport or your hotel, marking the end of your incredible Uganda safari.
