Start with chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest, home to the highest primate density in Africa. Continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you’ll enjoy game drives, a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, and see the famous tree-climbing lions in Ishasha. The highlight of your adventure is gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, followed by a scenic retreat at Lake Bunyonyi. Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN ENTEBBE – TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will transfer you to Kibale National Park, a 5–6 hour scenic drive through tea plantations and rural landscapes. Arrive in the afternoon, check into your budget lodge, and relax before your chimpanzee tracking adventure the next day.

DAY 2: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING IN KIBALE – BIGODI WETLAND WALK

Wake up early for a chimpanzee tracking adventure in Kibale Forest, home to over 1,500 chimpanzees and other primates such as colobus monkeys and red-tailed monkeys. After lunch, take a guided walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, where you’ll see rare bird species, primates, and lush swamp vegetation.

DAY 3: TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK – BOAT SAFARI

After breakfast, drive 3 hours to Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to elephants, lions, buffaloes, and Uganda kobs. Check into your budget lodge and enjoy lunch before heading out for a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, where you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species.

DAY 4: GAME DRIVE & ISHASHA TREE-CLIMBING LIONS – TRANSFER TO BWINDI

Start with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, a prime area to see lions, elephants, and antelopes. In the afternoon, drive to the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions, and enjoy a game drive before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Arrive in the evening, check into your budget lodge, and relax before your gorilla trekking adventure.

DAY 5: GORILLA TREKKING IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST

Today is the highlight of your trip—gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest! After a briefing from park rangers, enter the dense jungle in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take 2–6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movement. Once found, enjoy an unforgettable hour observing their interactions and behaviors. After trekking, return to your lodge for relaxation or an optional cultural visit to a Batwa pygmy community.

DAY 6: TRANSFER TO LAKE BUNYONYI – CANOEING & RELAXATION

After breakfast, take a 2-hour drive to Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda’s most scenic lake. Check into your budget lodge and spend the day canoeing, swimming, hiking, or simply relaxing by the lakeside.

DAY 7: TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK – WALKING SAFARI

After breakfast, drive 4 hours to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park but rich in wildlife. Upon arrival, check into your budget lodge before embarking on an afternoon walking safari, where you’ll see zebras, impalas, buffaloes, and warthogs on foot. Later, enjoy an evening game drive, a great time to see leopards and nocturnal animals.

DAY 8: MORNING BOAT SAFARI – RETURN TO ENTEBBE

Start your final day with a morning boat safari on Lake Mburo, where you’ll spot hippos, crocodiles, and water birds. After breakfast, depart for Entebbe, a 5-hour scenic drive, arriving in the afternoon for your departure flight or hotel drop-off.
