Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN ENTEBBE – TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will meet you and start the 5–6 hour drive to Murchison Falls National Park. En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience, getting up close to Uganda’s only wild rhinos. Continue to Murchison Falls National Park, check into your budget lodge or tented camp, and relax before dinner.

  

DAY 2: MURCHISON FALLS GAME DRIVE & NILE RIVER BOAT SAFARI

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive in Murchison Falls National Park, searching for elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes. After lunch, enjoy a boat safari on the Nile River, where you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. The cruise ends near the bottom of Murchison Falls, where you can take photos and enjoy the thunderous roar of the water. Return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

  

DAY 3: TOP OF THE FALLS – TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, visit the Top of Murchison Falls, where you can see the powerful waters of the Nile forcing their way through a 7-meter-wide gorge. Then, depart for Kibale National Park, a 6-hour scenic drive through Uganda’s lush countryside. Arrive in the afternoon, check into your budget lodge, and relax.

  

DAY 4: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING IN KIBALE NATIONAL PARK – BIGODI WETLAND WALK

Start the day with chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park, home to over 1,500 chimpanzees. A guided forest walk allows you to observe these primates up close in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, take a guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, where you’ll see colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and a variety of birds.

  

DAY 5: TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK – BOAT SAFARI ON KAZINGA CHANNEL

After breakfast, drive 3–4 hours to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s second-largest park. Upon arrival, check into your budget lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, where you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and buffaloes along the shoreline. This is one of the best spots for birdwatching, with over 600 bird species recorded.

  

  

DAY 6: GAME DRIVE & TREE-CLIMBING LIONS IN ISHASHA

Wake up early for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, searching for lions, elephants, leopards, and hyenas. After lunch, drive to the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions, which are often seen resting in fig trees. Enjoy an evening game drive in Ishasha before returning to your lodge.

  

DAY 7: RETURN TO ENTEBBE – DEPARTURE

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic 5–6 hour drive back to Entebbe, stopping for lunch along the way. Arrive in the afternoon for drop-off at the airport or hotel, marking the end of an unforgettable Uganda safari.
