Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN ENTEBBE – TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Your guide will meet you upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport and start the 8-hour scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Along the way, you’ll pass through rolling hills, tea plantations, and rural villages before arriving at your budget lodge. In the evening, relax at the lodge in preparation for your gorilla trekking adventure the next day.

  

DAY 2: GORILLA TREKKING IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Wake up early for a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience. After a briefing by park rangers, enter Bwindi’s dense rainforest, where you’ll track one of the habituated gorilla families. Trekking can take 2–6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements. Once you find them, enjoy a magical one-hour encounter, observing their behavior up close. After trekking, return to the lodge for relaxation or an optional community visit to learn about Batwa pygmy culture.

  

DAY 3: TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK – ISHASHA TREE-CLIMBING LIONS

After breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, a 5-hour drive with a stop at Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. Upon arrival, check into your budget lodge and relax before heading out for an afternoon game drive, where you may spot elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and antelopes.

  

DAY 4: GAME DRIVE & BOAT SAFARI ON KAZINGA CHANNEL

Start the day with a sunrise game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, a prime area to see lions, elephants, hippos, and warthogs. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, home to one of Africa’s largest hippo populations, crocodiles, and diverse birdlife. Return to your lodge for a relaxing evening. DAY 5: TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK – WALKING SAFARI & GAME DRIVE

After breakfast, drive 4 hours to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park but rich in wildlife. Upon arrival, check into your budget lodge and enjoy lunch before an afternoon walking safari, where you can spot zebras, impalas, buffaloes, and warthogs on foot. Later, enjoy an evening game drive, a great time to see leopards and other nocturnal animals.

  

DAY 6: BOAT SAFARI ON LAKE MBURO – RETURN TO ENTEBBE

Start your final day with a morning boat safari on Lake Mburo, where you’ll spot hippos, crocodiles, and water birds. After breakfast, depart for Entebbe, a 5-hour scenic drive, arriving in the afternoon for your departure flight or hotel drop-off.
