Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN ENTEBBE – TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

our guide will meet you at Entebbe International Airport or your hotel and begin the 8-hour scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive takes you through the rolling hills of western Uganda, local villages, and lush tea plantations. Arrive in the afternoon, check into your budget lodge near Bwindi, and relax before dinner.

DAY 2: GORILLA TREKKING IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Wake up early for a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience. After a briefing by the park rangers, enter Bwindi’s dense rainforest, where you’ll track one of the habituated gorilla families. The trek can take 2–6 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. Once you find them, spend one magical hour observing their behavior and interactions. After trekking, return to your lodge for relaxation or an optional visit to a Batwa pygmy community, where you can learn about their unique forest lifestyle.

DAY 3: TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK – GAME DRIVE IN ISHASHA

After breakfast, drive 5–6 hours to Queen Elizabeth National Park, with a stop at the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. Check into your budget lodge and enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive in Ishasha, searching for lions resting in fig trees, elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes.

DAY 4: GAME DRIVE & BOAT SAFARI ON THE KAZINGA CHANNEL

Start the day with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, a prime area to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, and Uganda kobs. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This waterway is home to one of Africa’s largest concentrations of hippos and crocodiles, along with hundreds of bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

DAY 5: TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK – CHIMPANZEE TRACKING

After breakfast, take a 3-hour drive to Kibale National Park, arriving just in time for your chimpanzee tracking experience. After a briefing from the park rangers, enter the dense rainforest of Kibale, where you’ll track one of the habituated chimpanzee groups. The trek can take 1–3 hours, and once you find them, you’ll have one hour to observe their playful interactions, grooming, and social behaviors. Later in the afternoon, enjoy a guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, where you can see colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and a variety of bird species.

DAY 6: RETURN TO ENTEBBE – DEPARTURE

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic 5–6 hour drive back to Entebbe, with a stop for lunch along the way. Arrive in the afternoon for drop-off at the airport or hotel, marking the end of an unforgettable Uganda safari.

Cancellation by the Traveler More than 60 days before departure: Full refund minus a 10% administrative fee. 30 to 59 days before departure: 50% refund of the total safari cost. 15 to 29 days before departure: 25% refund of the total safari cost. Less than 15 days before departure or no-show: No refund will be provided. 2. Cancellation by the Operator If the safari is canceled due to extreme weather, safety concerns, or operational issues, guests will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
