This 3-day Tanzania safari takes you to two of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife destinations—Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. Designed for travelers with limited time, this adventure ensures an unforgettable experience with thrilling game drives in the Serengeti’s vast savannah and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, home to an incredible concentration of wildlife.

In the Serengeti, you’ll witness the iconic African plains teeming with lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and buffaloes. If traveling between July and October, you might catch the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras cross the Serengeti’s vast landscapes in search of fresh grazing lands.

The journey continues to Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. With its enclosed ecosystem, the crater offers some of the best chances to spot the endangered black rhino, as well as hippos, flamingos, and an abundance of predators. Itinerary

DAY 1: ARUSHA – TRANSFER TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Your safari adventure begins in Arusha, where you’ll meet your guide in the morning and set off towards Serengeti National Park. The scenic drive takes approximately 6–7 hours, passing through the stunning landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Rift Valley and Maasai villages dotting the countryside. Upon arrival in the Serengeti, you’ll check into your camp or lodge and have lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. The Serengeti is known for its wide-open plains and high concentration of predators, making it one of the best places in Africa to see lions, leopards, and cheetahs in action. As the sun sets, return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of the wilderness.

DAY 2: FULL-DAY SAFARI IN SERENGETI – TRANSFER TO NGORONGORO

Wake up early for an optional sunrise game drive, when predators are most active. As the golden light blankets the plains, you might witness a lion hunt, cheetahs sprinting after prey, or leopards dragging their kill into the trees. After breakfast, continue exploring the Serengeti’s diverse ecosystems, from grassy savannahs to acacia woodlands, home to elephants, giraffes, zebras, and hyenas. Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, maximizing your game-viewing time. In the afternoon, begin your drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you’ll arrive in the evening and settle into your camp or lodge near the crater rim.

DAY 3: NGORONGORO CRATER SAFARI – RETURN TO ARUSHA

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most breathtaking wildlife locations in Africa. This collapsed volcanic caldera is home to over 25,000 animals, offering an unparalleled safari experience. During your game drive, you’ll have excellent chances of spotting the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), along with hippos, warthogs, flamingos, and countless antelope species. The crater floor’s permanent water sources support a dense population of animals, making it one of the best places in Tanzania for wildlife photography. After a picnic lunch by a hippo pool, continue your final game drive before ascending the crater walls and starting the drive back to Arusha, where you’ll be dropped off in the evening, marking the end of your short but unforgettable safari.
