DAY 1: ARRIVAL ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Arrival at Entebbe International Airport, pick up by the Hotel and transfer to your accommodation. Accommodation: Entebbe Stay Meal Plan: Bed and Breakfast

DAY 2: ENTEBBE - BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Day 2: Entebbe - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park After an early breakfast and briefing we will fly you to Kisoro in southern Uganda. During the short flight you will be able to see Uganda´s diversity from high up. We will pick you up from the airstrip and drive you to Gahinga National Park. Proceed directly to Trek Golden Monkeys Accommodation: Gahinga National Park Meal Plan: Full Board arrangement.

DAY 3: COMMUNITY WALK AND CANOE EXCURSION ON LAKE MUTANDA

Day 3: Community Walk And Canoe Excursion On Lake Mutanda Depart Gahinga Lodge after breakfast, transfer to south banks of Lake Mutanda to start canoe excursion in dugout canoes for 21/2 hours. After lunch continue with walking safari through the villages and rendezvous with your vehicle at Rubuguri junction to transfer onwards to Rushaga or Nkuringo. Day

  

DAY 4: GORILLA TRACKING – BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park After breakfast proceed to the Nkuringo visitor’s reception 300m from Nkuringo Gorilla Camp. The guides do a good job to describe the surroundings and the lifestyle of the animals. After this tour, in the evening you can relax around a campfire, take walks or retire to the lodge. On completion of the gorilla tracking you will return to Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge to freshen up, and reflect back and browse your pictures of the gorilla tracking activity earlier in the day. Time permitting with one of the Walking Safaris guide team you can explore the village of Rushaga or Nkuringo to engage in some cultural interaction to visit the 'Top of the World' view point where on a clear day the Rwenzori Mountains can be seen some 170km distant. DAY 5: COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES AND NATURE WALKS AROUND NKURINGO

Day 5: Community Activities And Nature Walks Around Nkuringo An extra day in Nkuringo is highly recommended, where you opt for second Gorilla trek, this gives us flexibility, the community is beautiful for self exploring or guided nature walk to Buniga Forest to experience the Batwa pygmies re-act their lives when they lived in Bwindi. Accommodation: Rushaga or Nkuringo Meal plan: Full board

  

DAY 6: TRANSVERSE THE BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST – ISHASHA

Day 6: Transverse The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – Ishasha Sector After breakfast transfer to Nteko village and from there proceed with the walking safari guide through the 36000 year old forest towards Buhoma via Ivy river route. This Ivy river route ascends and descends gently through beautiful areas of the rain forest with several viewpoints from the road from/to Nkuringo over looking lush mist shrouded valleys. This trail is also an important footpath for local people travelling to and from Nkuringo particularly on market days to Nteko village on the southern boundary of the park. Monkeys, duikers, bush pigs and some of Bwindi's world renowned bird species plus many butterflies can be observed. Catch up with the vehicle and continue to Ishasha sector THE ISHASHA SECTOR This sector is the southern part of the park that is famous for its population of tree climbing Lions often to be seen in large fig trees in the plains. You will drive leisurely southwards; explore the park in an extensive game drive. Accommodation: Ishasha Wilderness Camp Meal plan: Full board

  

DAY 7: ISHASHA SECTOR – KASENYI SECTOR QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Day 7: Ishasha Sector – Kasenyi Sector Queen Elizabeth National Park Morning game drive in Ishasha before continuing to Kasenyi. Kasenyi is commonly known as the mating grounds for Uganda Kobs for bout 2-3 hour of adventure, the smelling lake and the crater lakes and later head to your accommodation for the night Accommodation: Elephant Plain Lodge Meal plan: Full board

  

DAY 8: FULL DAY QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Day 8: Full Day Queen Elizabeth National Park After an early morning game viewing, you will proceed directly to the head of the Mweya Peninsular to conduct a launch trip on the Kazinga Channel which is a home to one of the largest concentrations of hippopotamus, as well as herds of elephants, buffalo, and other wildlife that come to drink from the river. The Kazinga also attracts a tremendous variety of bird species including the African Eagle, Open-Billed Stork, and Pied Kingfishers. After the boat cruise you will head to your accommodation for the night Kyambura Gorge The gorge is within the savannah sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This 16 kilometre long scar in the earth is home to a group of habituated chimpanzees, baboons, monkeys and birds. The gorge is about 100m deep to where organised chimpanzee trekking can be conducted; bird watching, nature walks and sightseeing can be undertaken from the visitors centre. DAY 9: QUEEN – KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

Day 9: Queen – Kibale Forest National Park Enjoy another game drive as you drive to Fort Portal. This is the lively and active town around Kibale Forest National Park. This park offers one of the most varied tracts of tropical forest in Uganda, 70 mammal species and 13 primate species. The drive takes about 3-4 hours arriving on time in Fort Portal for lunch. After lunch we will shake off the long drive with a walk to the “top of the world” along crater lakes which this area is also famous for. Accommodation: Primate Lodge Kibale. Meal plan: Full board

  

DAY 10: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING AND BIGODI WETLAND SANTUARY

Day 10: Chimpanzee Tracking And Bigodi Wetland Santuary An early start and a long day are ahead of you! Today you will track chimpanzees and will not only learn about them but also about the flora and fauna of the national park. In the afternoon visit the Bigodi community. Bigodi village is situated in the highlands of western Uganda, in the shadow of the Ruwenzori Mountains, the famous "Mountains of the Moon". Our community is located about 40 kilometers south of the town of Fort Portal, and borders Kibale National Park, which has the highest density of primate life in the world in its forests. Since 1992, the people of Bigodi have worked together as a community to open our natural beauty to eco-tourists and to bring our crafts and handiwork to the world.

  

  

DAY 11: EXTRA DAY IN KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

Day 11: Extra Day In Kibale Forest National Park Fort Portal region is famous for its crater Lake and wonderful community walks, explore the area on guided tour. Accommodation: Primate Lodge Kibale. Meal plan: Full board

  

DAY 12: KIBALE FOREST – ENTEBBE

Day 12: Kibale Forest – Entebbe Relaxed morning and transfer to Entebbe, through Kampala city. Accommodation: Papyrus Guesthouse

  

DAY 13: ENTEBBE EXPERIENCE

Day 13: Entebbe Experience Day tours can be arranged to either the Ngamba Island, Visit to the Mabamba swamp or Kampala City tour. Accommodation: Papyrus Guesthouse

  

DAY 14 : DEPARTURE

Day 14 : Departure Return to Entebbe after a late breakfast anticipated driving time 6 hours on the road. En route you will pass the equator where a coffee break can be taken and possibly the picnic lunch provided by the lodge. Transfer directly to Airport for outbound flight
