Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN ENTEBBE – TRANSFER TO KAMPALA

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will transfer you to Kampala, Uganda’s capital city. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the city’s highlights, including local markets, cultural sites, and Lake Victoria beaches.

DAY 2: KAMPALA – TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Depart early for Murchison Falls National Park, a 6-hour scenic drive with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you’ll go on a guided rhino tracking experience on foot. Continue to Murchison Falls, check into your budget lodge or tented camp, and enjoy an evening at leisure.

DAY 3: GAME DRIVE & NILE RIVER BOAT SAFARI

Start your day with a sunrise game drive, searching for elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes in the park’s northern sector. In the afternoon, take a boat safari on the Nile River, where you’ll spot hippos, crocodiles, and water birds. The cruise ends near the bottom of Murchison Falls, offering spectacular views.

DAY 4: HIKE TO THE TOP OF MURCHISON FALLS – TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, visit the Top of Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge, creating one of Africa’s most powerful waterfalls. Then, embark on a 6-hour drive to Kibale National Park, famous for its chimpanzee population. Arrive in the afternoon, check into your budget lodge, and relax.

DAY 5: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING IN KIBALE – BIGODI WETLAND WALK

Today, embark on a chimpanzee tracking adventure in Kibale Forest, home to over 1,500 chimpanzees. Enjoy an hour with these intelligent primates as you watch them play, groom, and interact. In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a paradise for birdwatchers and primate lovers, where you may spot colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and over 200 bird species.

DAY 6: TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK – BOAT SAFARI

After breakfast, drive 3 hours to Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to diverse wildlife, tree-climbing lions, and incredible birdlife. After lunch, take a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, where you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and an array of water birds.

DAY 7: GAME DRIVE & ISHASHA TREE-CLIMBING LIONS

Wake up early for a game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, where you’ll spot lions, elephants, buffalos, warthogs, and antelopes. In the afternoon, drive to the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions, and enjoy a game drive before returning to camp.

DAY 8: TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

DAY 9: GORILLA TREKKING IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST

Wake up early for gorilla trekking, one of the most thrilling wildlife encounters in Africa. After a briefing, trek through Bwindi’s dense rainforest until you find a habituated gorilla family. Once you find them, enjoy an unforgettable hour observing their behavior. After trekking, return to the lodge for relaxation or an optional Batwa cultural visit.

DAY 10: TRANSFER TO LAKE BUNYONYI – RELAXATION & CANOEING
