Itinerary

DAY 01: NAIROBI - HOTEL

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International airport, you will be met by and your Representative and after the immigration formalities you will be assisted to board your vehicle and drive to your city hotel for check in and overnight Dinner on own arrangement Overnight – Nairobi Serena Hotel – Bed & Breakfast

  

DAY 02: NAIROBI - ABERDARE

After breakfast, depart for Aberdare National Park through Nyeri Town to arrive for late lunch at Aberdare Country Club the Serving base for The Ark Afternoon transfer to The Ark in a lodge vehicle for your evening game viewing form your balcony Set in the heart of the Aberdare National Park, this unique game lodge overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick which attracts a host of wildlife: elephant; rhino; leopard; bushbuck and occasionally an elusive bongo or giant forest hog. Resembling, and named after Noah's Ark, the Ark comprises three decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide superb vantage points for game viewing. A ground level bunker provides excellent photographic opportunities and takes you closer than you would believe possible to the animals. Dinner and Overnight

  

DAY 3: ABERDARE – OL PAJETA

After breakfast drive transfer to your base hotel collect your stored luggage, rejoin with your driver guide and drive to OlPajeta via Nanyuki where you will have a chance for demonstration of Equator crossing before driving further North and to Sweetwaters Tented Camp for lunch. The private game reserve is also home to the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya. Most of the chimps came from the Jane Goodall Institute in Burundi and the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary now cares for them and is a non-profit making venture. Most of the chimps were rescued from the most appalling conditions and it is truly heart-warming to see them. Overnight

  

DAY 04: OL PAJETA – LAKE NAKURU

Early morning game drive, return to your camp for breakfast to depart thereafter after for Lake Nakuru National Park arriving at Sarova Lion Hill for lunch. Afternoon game drive to return to your lodge for dinner and overnight

  

DAY 5: LAKE NAKURU – MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

Leaving Lake Nakuru after breakfast, continue up the floor of Rift to arrive at the Masai Mara Serena Lodgein time for lunch and spend the afternoon game-viewing across the rolling savannah plains of the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Return in time to take a swim in the luxury pool before dinner and overnight. Dinner and Overnight

  

DAY 6: MASAI MARA

Full day safari in one of the world's most famous reserves. Offering an abundance of herbivores, the Mara makes the ideal hunting ground for Kenya's famous ‘big cats' and hosts her largest population of lions. Historically teeming with wildlife, the Mara is famous for the large herds of elephant and buffalo that wander its plains, and for the annual migration of the wildebeest (seasonal). DAY 7: MASAI MARA TO LAKE VICTORIA

With Picnic lunches you will have early breakfast with drop off at Isebania border where you will go through immigration formalities, exchange vehicles and proceed to Tanzania safari with a visit to Lake Victoria - the source of River Nile. Proceed on to Speke Bay, only two hours away from the border & situated on the shores of this famous Lake. Afternoon at leisure – optional activities on request at small fee Dinner & overnight

  

DAY 8: LAKE VICTORIA –SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast at the lodge then depart to Serengeti National park. Arrive in time for check in & lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge – Full board

  

DAY 9: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Full day in Serengeti with both morning and afternoon game drives returning to the lodge for meals and overnight. Serengeti is Africa's largest national park and also one of its most popular. The park has an incredible number of animals, wildebeest being the most populous followed by zebra. Elephants are notably scarce. Cheetahs and the rest of the big cats are regularly sighted in the plains. The few remaining endangered black rhino are restricted to the Moru Koppies area. Dinner and overnight

  

DAY 10: SERENGETI - NGORONGORO N. PARK

Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area via Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned Archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remain, Lunch at your lodge Your evening at leisure as you enjoy romantic sundowners or twilight dinners on your veranda with the astonishing landscape views of the dense forest. Watch wildlife, like elephants, roaming through the forest, hear the lions roar and listen to the magical sounds of the tropical night. It will be an experience you will never forget. Dinner and overnight

  

DAY 11: NGORONGORO N. PARK – LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast with picnic lunches, descend to your Crater Tour The Ngorongoro Crater and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area are without a doubt some of the most beautiful parts of Tanzania, steeped in history and teeming with wildlife. Besides vehicle safaris to Ngorongoro Crater, Olduvai Gorge, and surrounding attractions, hiking treks through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area are becoming increasingly popular options. Either way you choose to visit, the Crater Highlands are an unforgettable part of the Tanzanian experience. After your picnic lunches, drive to Lake Manyara and proceed to your evening game drive Dinner and overnight at L. Manyara Serena Safari lodge Full board

  

DAY 12: LAKE MANYARA – ARUSHA

Early morning game drive, return to your lodge for breakfast with lunch today at your lodge before departing game drive en-route to Arusha – transfer to JRO for your onward departure flight
