Then, visit Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you’ll see lions, elephants, and a variety of wildlife on game drives and a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel.

The highlight of your trip is mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, followed by a relaxing visit to Lake Bunyonyi. The journey concludes at Lake Mburo National Park, where you’ll enjoy a walking safari before heading back to Entebbe.

Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN ENTEBBE – TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park, a 5–6 hour scenic drive with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking on foot. Check into your budget lodge, enjoy dinner, and rest for the next day’s adventure.

DAY 2: GAME DRIVE & BOAT SAFARI ON THE NILE

Start the day with a morning game drive in the northern sector of Murchison Falls National Park, where you’ll spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, and antelopes. After lunch, embark on a boat safari along the Nile River, where you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species. The cruise ends at the base of Murchison Falls, offering breathtaking views.

DAY 3: HIKE TO THE TOP OF MURCHISON FALLS – TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, visit the Top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile River forces its way through a narrow gorge, creating one of Africa’s most powerful waterfalls. Then, take a 6-hour scenic drive to Kibale National Park, passing through Uganda’s beautiful countryside and tea plantations.

DAY 4: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING IN KIBALE – BIGODI WETLAND WALK

Wake up early for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest, home to over 1,500 chimpanzees and other primates. Spend one hour observing them up close after a guided trek through the forest. In the afternoon, take a guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, where you’ll see rare bird species and monkeys.

DAY 5: TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK – BOAT SAFARI

After breakfast, take a 3-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most diverse wildlife destination. After lunch, embark on a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, where you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and an array of birds.

DAY 6: MORNING GAME DRIVE & ISHASHA TREE-CLIMBING LIONS – TRANSFER TO BWINDI

Wake up early for a game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, searching for lions, elephants, buffaloes, and leopards. In the afternoon, transfer to the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions, before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

DAY 7: GORILLA TREKKING IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST

Today is the highlight of your safari—gorilla trekking in Bwindi! After a briefing, enter the dense rainforest with expert guides and track one of the habituated gorilla families. The trek can take 2–6 hours, but once you find them, you’ll have one hour to observe their behavior up close. After trekking, return to your lodge or opt for a cultural experience with the Batwa pygmies.

DAY 8: TRANSFER TO LAKE BUNYONYI – RELAXATION & CANOEING

After breakfast, take a 2-hour drive to Lake Bunyonyi, one of the most scenic lakes in Africa. Enjoy a relaxing day canoeing, swimming, or hiking around the lake’s beautiful islands and lush landscapes.

DAY 9: TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK – WALKING SAFARI

After breakfast, take a 4-hour drive to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park but rich in wildlife. Upon arrival, check into your budget lodge before embarking on an afternoon walking safari, where you’ll see zebras, giraffes, impalas, and elands up close.

DAY 10: MORNING GAME DRIVE – RETURN TO ENTEBBE
